The Light Blues controlled the contest throughout with a Rio Hardy double proving the difference as they left Petershill Park with a massive three points.
Speaking to RangersTV after the 2-0 win to send the Gers 11 points ahead of last season’s title winners in the SWPL table, she commented: “It was an excellent performance.
"We asked the players to start strong, we knew it was going to be a tough game today coming into it. We have had an excellent week of training and I think that showed in the game today.
“They translated the training week into the game. I don't remember Jenna [Fife] having too much to do in the game, so it showed that we were good in possession and good at keeping at the ball in their half and in control. I am delighted with the performance and just as delighted with the three points and clean sheet.”
The head coach has praised her team for limiting their opponents to little chances throughout as they put on a defensively sound display away from home.
She continued: “As I say week in week out, I know we are going to create chances so it only takes one moment for us to have an opportunity on goal.
“Whoever it falls to I am always confident, if it is Rio, Kirsty, Sarah or Rachel, However that looks I am always very confident that we are going to have a positive outcome so as long as we are sound structurally and marshal in our backline, staying strong and tight in midfield then I am happy that if we do get a chance up top that one of them is going to take it.
“It is what we expect, these games are tough. Coming away is never easy but we have some real good away support. You hear the fans and the crowd right behind us, we are playing a nice way of football with performances that are matching.
“I was really impressed with that performance today; I think we showed a different side of our game. Which we haven't really needed to show up until now.
“It shows that when we need to we can pull a performance like that and a physicality to our game. Coming out of this game three points as a win and 11 points at the moment as a gap is huge for us.
The former Lioness spoke of the impact of Rio Hardy as her double on the day racked up 22 goals for the season since arriving at the club in the summer.
She added: “I knew what I was getting when I brought Rio into the team and into the squad. I knew I was getting goals; I knew what she could bring. She is very different to most strikers that you see in this league. She can use both feet, use her head, you see with goals all-around.
“She is good at hold up play and she can run in behind. If you are looking for an all-round striker then you have got that there.
“It just helps that she has got a real eye for goal as well and she can control herself in those moments to put the ball past the keeper and have a little bit of pressure on her shoulders to take the penalty today.
“We get in those moments and I never worry that she is ever going to miss or not have another opportunity. I was delighted with her performance today but just as delighted with everybody else's too.”
