The Light Blues will take on their city rivals in a Monday lunchtime clash at Broadwood Stadium as they look to go top of the SWPL table with just three games remaining.
Speaking to RangersTV off the back of their midweek win over Hearts, the head coach says her team are ready for what lies ahead as they prepare for the final Old Firm of the campaign.
She commented: “You must feel your squad are in a good place off the back of recent results heading into such a big fixture? Yeah and I think that is the thing we have got to take confidence from it.
“They are showing some good performances and they are taking that hesitancy out of their game, which crept in a few weeks ago which can come from confidence just being dipped a little bit.
“We have managed that; they are in a really good run of form.
“They are in a really good place, mentally and physically.
“The squad is in a good position and they are ready for the run in.
“They are ready for the fight so we have got to make sure that we do our job and get ready to go.”
The former Lioness is expecting a reaction from their Monday opponents off the back of coming out on top in the Scottish Cup semi-final recently with only goal difference separating the two sides in the table.
She continued: “I am probably expecting them to come out all guns blazing, because they need to produce something for themselves and try to show us what they are capable of.
“They are a good team, there is no doubt about it.
“They have got some very good players in that team, but we have proved that we can match them and be better and keep them players quiet.
“We need to make sure we are ready for that challenge and we will do our work as always and hopefully be ready to go by Monday.”
“How do you prepare your players for the Old Firm off the back of the game on Wednesday night? Exactly the same as what we do for every single game.
“They have worked extremely hard; we have not had a normal game week for a while now and I don’t think we will have one until the end of the season.
“I think every single game now is a cup final so they have got to get ready for it.
“They have got to prepare for it, they know the level of the game.
“They know what to expect and they have got to bring their A game as they have got to do every single game until the end of the season.”
Potter is hopeful of a good backing from the Gers supporters as they target what would be a massive result with victory in their penultimate home fixture of the season.
She added: “It would be huge for us. You can see the difference that the fans make to our players when we are here and they are backing us.
“We have had some great games against Celtic previously.
“We know what to expect, we know it is difficult with an early kick off time but it is a bank holiday so we are expecting our fans to turn up and bring the noise for us.”
