The Light Blues will line up at Fir Park to take on Hibs as they look to get their hands on the first piece of silverware on offer this season on Saturday afternoon.
Speaking to RangersTV to look ahead to the showpiece final this weekend, she commented: “It is huge for us, the club, the fanbase and the players.
“That is our aim and that is what we set out to do at the start of the season.
“We are expected to be in finals and win trophies at this club and we hold that responsibility and we expect that ourselves as well.
“It is an exciting week, we know what these weeks mean to us, we know what they mean to the club.
“We have got some really fond memories of this trophy for the past couple of years it has been ours.
“We are looking to try and replicate that again and just have a good training week coming into Saturday's game.”
Having tasted trophy success in this competition last campaign in what was her first piece of silverware in charge, the former Lioness is hoping the players can use the positives of that triumph to get them over the line once again.
She continued: “We have got really good experiences of these moments and these competitions.
“Being in finals regularly really helps.
“To be able to stabilise the emotion of the day and what it means and what it can mean for you.
“We have been on the ends of wins and losses so we know how it feels both ways.
“We are always hoping for a win and we always want to lift that trophy, that is the aim at the start of the season and we are into a final which is a really good start.
“Last year’s final? It just brings a smile to your face.
“It meant a lot to the players, it is so hard to retain a trophy and win it back-to-back but to do three times is going to be even harder.
“We know we are coming up against a tough opponent who are bang in form and in confidence.
“We are the top two in the league right now and it is building up for an exciting game.”
The Light Blues will be targeting victory over their Edinburgh opponents for the first time this campaign, with the head coach hopeful the new players involved in a final for the first time in blue will rise to the occasion.
She added: “It is a great experience for new players and old players.
“The competition looks very different this year with the competitiveness of the top six.
“The last couple of years these cup finals haven't been the top two in the league.
“That is not to say any other years we are putting any slight on any other team that is just the way it has been.
“The top two haven't faced each other in the final, not while I have been here anyway.
“It makes such a difference I think it brings that extra spice to the game.
“We have not been able to come out on top in this fixture yet this season so it will give us an extra impetus there and we know we have got to perform to able to win.”
