The Light Blues head into Sunday’s massive showdown with league leaders Hibs at Ibrox knowing victory will seal SWPL glory on goal difference to claim the trophy for the first time in three seasons.
Speaking to the media in this afternoon’s press conference to preview the clash at the iconic stadium, she said: “It is a massive game, which has been in keeping the last week.
“You step into the Celtic game; it was a massive game. We knew we had to win to keep ourselves in with a fight coming into Wednesday night's game, it is never easy to go to the Oriam and pick up points.
“We knew it was a massive game again; all teams have done it Hibs have done it all week as well. We have managed to come through that and show some real character to put ourselves in this position and again we are coming into a massive game and this is the last one in the league.
“A league decider so it is a position that we didn't think we were in a week ago, but we are in it now and we want to make the most of it.
“I think even if we needed a draw that wouldn't be our mindset but each team is different.
“It can affect you knowing that you get later on in the game you only might need a draw you might need to sure it up and keep tight.
“Whereas we are trying to win the game, but that is what we do every single week.
“You have never heard try and play for a draw. You get into cup finals and this is like a cup final so we have got to win the game.
“We have got to make sure that we are going out there to do everything that is possible to win the game and ultimately try and get three points.
“A week ago we were probably a little bit down and out thinking that is not in our hands.
“We weren't happy at the position we were in and it has all changed within a game and we have managed to do really well over the last two games to keep ourselves in that position to put us in a really nice spot going into the last game and that is all we could have asked for and that we have managed to do.”
The former Lioness is hopeful the Ibrox advantage could play a key factor in helping them get their hands on the trophy, with the boss hopeful of a packed crowd when they step out on the pitch this weekend.
She continued: “Ibrox? I am hoping it can be huge, I am hoping our fans will turn up and really get behind the players and the team, be loud and be heard because we have seen what a difference it can make to the players.
“They thrive off those moments and those environments.
“That is why we say we always want to play at Ibrox. We really let ourselves down last time, I think everybody was surprised at the performance, not so much the result but the performance against Glasgow City.
“We know that we have got to do things better there, nine times out of 10 we do. We are not going to be perfect all the time but we have got to make sure that we are using the pitch, we are using our crowd and the home advantage and taking everything that we can.
“We are lucky that we are in this position because we could have been playing them at Ibrox and a few weeks ago the league was done, that wouldn't have been a nice feeling.
“So we have got to make sure that we are trying to make the best of the position that we have put ourselves in now.
“Game a test of nerves? I think so, it is going to be about everything, the whole day is going to be quite a big day for both teams.
“It is who is going to be able to bring their best in those moments and keep a calm, keep a cool head.
“Win that battles of the nerves and win that battle on the pitch. That is what we have got to work towards over these last couple of days to put ourselves in a good position to do that come Sunday.”
Rangers came out victorious on the big stage when the two teams met in March’s Sky Sports Cup final at Fir Park and Potter is hopeful her team can draw on that experience to get the edge of what is set to be a brilliant occasion for the league this Sunday lunchtime.
She added: “Cup final win? We have got to use that to our advantage. You can shy away from that fact.
“Playing in a cup final and you manage to turn up and stick to a game plan and win the game comfortably as well.
“We have got to use those moments, we have got to look back at the game, look at what we did well. Look at Hibs, look at how they maybe have changed things slightly. Been forced into it with a couple of injuries as well.
“The dynamic is similar; we have got to make sure that we are using the whole experiences and obviously got to go and look back at the Meadowbank game as well when we went there just a couple of weeks after the cup final and they beat us comfortably as well.
“We are using all these experiences we have got to look back on everything and really bring our A game. We have really got to turn up and I am sure and confident that we can.”
You can still get your hands on tickets for Sunday’s huge SWPL title decider here, kicking off at 12 noon this Sunday at Ibrox.
