The Light Blues fell to a 6-0 loss at Meadow Park against the English side after showing a promising defensive display in the opening 45 minutes as they found themselves a goal down at the break.
Speaking to RangersTV after the match, the head coach was pleased with the first half but highlighted conceding two second half goals in quick succession which ended her side’s chances.
She said: “It is tough to diagnose it immediately. I thought we were in the game at half-time when we were 1-0 down.
“The problem is the two goals that came in quick succession, that is what killed us. It took the wind out the sails and we lost our momentum.
“We will look at it, we will assess it, for 45 minutes we were in the game but we didn’t create enough at the other end.
“We conceded possession a bit too much but, we know that but we have to get back on the training pitch ahead of Saturday.
“It’s about the bravery and handling the pressure of taking the ball and keeping a spell of possession.
“We made one or two passes but then the third, fourth and fifth passes weren’t there. We gave it up a little bit too easily.
“That is the level you are going to come up against, one of the best, we knew that, we have to be braver.
“You have to learn from this. No one likes to lose by that scoreline and we aren’t accepting it - we don’t.
“There were moments but we know we can be better than what we showed at times and we will be.
“We have to put it right quickly on Saturday.”
The Gers now turn their attention to their third place play-off fixture against Spanish side Atletico Madrid this weekend, and the former Lioness wants her side to respond when they step foot back on the pitch this Saturday lunchtime.
She added: “We watched Atletico today and we know the threats they can bring.
“We will tweak things and we have to make sure we get on the pitch, knuckle down and try to get a better result.”
