In an exciting league fixture under the lights, the Gers will host their rivals as they look to claim the city bragging rights for the second time this season.
Speaking to the official Rangers website to preview the clash, the academy graduate has encouraged people to come show their support as the Light Blues target a positive result to get back on track in their league campaign.
She said: “The fans are always great, especially in an Old Firm game, we want as many Rangers fans there as possible because it really does act like that 12th player for us.
“When you look to the stands and you see the passion and the energy some of the fans can give you, hopefully we can fill the stands with as many as possible.
“We have got a really good record against Celtic. The last game we played against them, people were maybe doubting us a bit. We had lost some players; we are probably in the same position that we are right now as well.
“Some people can maybe look from the outside and think, are they as strong as they are? But I can tell you from within the group we have got a real togetherness.
“We have got a real strength in numbers and come Friday night we will be more than ready to play against them and try to get as good a result as last time.
“Everyone in the group really looks forward to it. We know what it is about when we played against them.
“Come Friday night, we will work hard this week to see how we can hurt them and to try to pose a threat. We are obviously playing at Ibrox as well, so it is our home game, so we want to make it as difficult as possible for them to come here.
“We want to put on a show for the fans that turn up in their numbers hopefully.”
The versatile youngster has reflected on the team’s Sunday success, as Rangers returned to winning ways domestically by booking themselves in the semi-finals of the Sky Sports Cup.
She continued: “It was overall a good performance. Throughout the week, we worked on how we could hurt [Partick] Thistle, and I think in the first half, especially, we really implemented that.
“They couldn't live with us at times, and some of the combination play was also really positive. It is something that we can now build on and take forward into Friday night.
“Starting well? That is something that both Leanne and the team really hammered home: that is what is expected here.
“Teams can look at that, and I think that is probably a weak spot, but it is something that we are really trying to hammer home is how quickly we can start halves.
“When we play to our standard, no team can live with us, and it is just about living up to that every week, no matter who we are playing.
“It just breeds that confidence as well through the whole group that we are good enough to not concede goals. It is something that we are really focused on as a group is not conceding as many goals as possible.
“Keeping clean sheets is obviously the main aim, but it helps in going on to Friday now and hopefully doing the same.”
Despite the success in the reverse fixture between the teams back in September, the Gers have had a mixed bag of results during their SPWPL campaign so far. McLeary says everyone within the squad has acknowledged that, and they know it’s something they are eager to put right moving forward.
She added: “We have obviously not had the results that we have wanted. It is really important that, as a group that we look and reflect on that, and we have done that.
“We are carrying no passengers, and everybody takes responsibility for the results that we have had because everybody knows that they are not good enough.
“The mindset is no different whether we are playing Celtic or Partick Thistle, it doesn't matter, it stays the same.
“When you play against Celtic, it is that edge that comes with the derby, but of course every game that we go into we want to win and hopefully on Friday night we can do that.”
