The 19-year-old, who is a product of the Rangers Academy, has put pen-to-paper to remain a part of the side for the next two seasons.
Speaking to RangersTV after signing the contract, the winger has highlighted the impact her boss has had on the side, as well as on an individual level.
She said: “Still being young as well, Jo has come in and she has helped massively.
“Not just in a football sense, but in confidence as well; she has put the trust in not just me but also the younger players.
“She has given the team that freedom to go and express themselves when they play and it has really shown in the games that we have played so far.
“I am thrilled to be staying for another two years.
“I have loved my time here so far, loved all the girls, even past players that have left us now.
“I think we have formed a really good team this year and I am just really looking forward to the future.
“I think the squad depth this year has probably been one of the best. Jo could put out any starting XI and they'll do a job.
“I think we've seen that with players that have stepped in, maybe with people who have been out injured and stuff.
“There has been such a togetherness this season and hopefully it is the same next.”
McLeary has spoken of her time representing her country on the international stage over the past campaign, having been called up by Scotland at two different youth levels which has included captaining the Under-19s side.
She continued: “I think going away with Scotland there is no greater honour.
“Adding the captain’s armband at Under-19s as well was a huge moment, not just for me but for my family as well to be there and watch me captain my country in some big games.
“I think being away with the Under-23s it is a different environment, but whenever I get the chance to go away I love it.”
Having been a product of the club’s youth set-up, the Gers No.26 reflected on her journey coming through the ranks as she hopes the team can continue to be successful in the coming seasons.
She added: “I think looking back coming through the academy it has been a real progressive sort of time here.
“When I look to the academy now the structure that they have implemented has been massive really.
“It is probably one of the best in the country. I have loved my time here and I am just looking forward to what the future holds as well.
“At this club it is what we want - it strives for trophies.
“When you look around the building there are pictures not just of the men, but the women winning trophies and the league trophy as well a few seasons ago.
“Obviously two Sky Sports Cups and hopefully just more trophies next season as well, because it is what the club is built on.”
