JOHN LUNDSTRAM lauded a ‘massive’ Rangers result as the Light Blues came from behind to defeat Hibernian at Ibrox this afternoon.
Trailing to an early Kevin Nisbet opener, Kemar Roofe and Alfredo Morelos netted for Gers to see them go into the international break top of the Scottish Premiership.
Speaking to RangersTV, ‘Man of the Match’ Lundstram explained: "We are really happy and it is a massive result for us. We have been a little bit flat of late so to get a big performance and a big result today was a good one.
"The spirit from the fans and everyone in the club, it is massive and it is showing - this is a 'must-win' football club and you are here to win games.
"That is what you have got to do and we are all trying our upmost to do so and thankfully we did today."
"I think [the fans] can see we were trying first half - they got the goal on the break and it was against the run of play - we were getting in at times and maybe not making that final pass or that final cross, so to repay them in the second half and to get the two goals was lovely."
Lundstram was outstanding for Gers once again, and he continued: "I am finding my feet - changing clubs and what-not and coming into a new dressing room, it's tough at times, but I am getting used to it and hopefully I can continue the good form.
"I wish there was a game next week to be honest! I think we could have taken today into next week but it is two-week's rest now and we will go again and recharge the batteries.
"Everyone realised today how big a result it was - a top of the table clash which puts us back on top now where the football club should be."
