Headed up by goalkeeping coach Colin Stewart, McLaughlin is joined by club legend Allan McGregor and Andy Firth in an exceptionally strong pool of stoppers for manager Steven Gerrard to pick from.
McLaughlin himself has made 12 appearances this season, the most recent of which came in Sunday’s Scottish Cup win over Cove.
"It is a great department to be a part of,” he began, “and it is a very, very high-level of goalkeepers that we have got.
"Colin leads that up and it is great working with him on a daily basis. Myself, Allan and Firthy get on really well, work well together and it is a department that runs very smoothly and hopefully you have seen that over the season.
"Allan has been first-class, top-notch all season. Anytime I have been called upon, hopefully I have been able to be worthy of wearing the shirt as well and make my contribution.
"We have the younger lads as well who have gone out on-loan and done well and are trying to progress and improve for the future, so yes, hopefully the club are happy with what they have now and what they have in the pipeline for the future as well."
McLaughlin has certainly played his part in the club claiming 55 having made nine league appearances to date.
His maiden season at Rangers is one he will never forget, and he continued: "I have thoroughly enjoyed it. Coming here, it is everything I expected it would be from the club - the size of it, its stature within the Scottish game and the performance level of the team and everything surrounding the team and the club itself has been top-notch all year.
"For myself, it was great at the start of the season to get so much involvement and to be able to be a part of it that way, and then just working alongside Allan and alongside Colin for the year within the group, it has been fantastic and a great first year with all the success that has come for the club and for the team.
"If you ask any professional player, it is about winning, and the pinnacle of that is winning league titles - it is the hardest thing to do in football - even harder than winning cups or other trophies.
"That league title is an entire year's work and doesn't come easy even though people on the outside might think Rangers have cantered to it this season, that is far from the truth.
"It has been a hard graft every single day over a long, 10-month period and it has been fantastic to play my part in that and to be part of the wider success of the team and to see first-hand just how much has gone into it and the reward they have got from that."
The need to push on further now is recognised by McLaughlin, not only in future, but also before the end of this season.
He added: "There is never an off-day, and that is one of the big things you realise coming to clubs like this. It never stops.
"The moment you achieve one goal, you can tick that box and you can celebrate it and you can enjoy it and feel that satisfaction, but then it is straight onto the next goal.
"There is always going to be that next trophy or that next title, no matter what. Now the club has got that monkey off the back, turned the tide and picked up that league title, there is now that belief that there is plenty more to come.
"It is total focus now on 'can we do a double' and go and win that Scottish Cup, which again, the fans and everyone surrounding the club have been waiting a long time for that Hampden success again and I know that is the total focus of the team, the staff and of everyone around the club."
