The Light Blues travel to Galabank to face the Scottish League Two side at 5.30pm tomorrow evening and McLaughlin insists the squad will approach the match as they would any other game.
Speaking to the media at the pre-match press conference, he said: "As we all know, every single game we go into we want to win and we expect to win. If that is in the league, if that's in the cup or if that's in Europe we approach it in the same way and we will be giving Annan our full respect and our full attention.
"We know what it means to the fans and the club to get to the final of these competitions and win these competitions so this is another step along the way and we'll be giving it our full focus tomorrow to go and get that result."
McLaughlin says the squad trust their own ability as they look to find ways to break down their League Two opponents.
He continued: "We don't have as much information and video analysis as you would for some of the other Premiership teams but we do still have footage of games they have played in their division.
"At the end of the day we try to focus much more on ourselves, we do as much research on them as we can to see where their threats can come from but we trust in our own ability as a team.
"It is going to come down to us performing to our best ability and if we do that we give it our full focus and attention then we believe we will have more than enough to go and get the result."
