Rangers have started the season in fantastic fashion, winning their opening three matches and scoring 24 goals in the process without conceding.
Speaking to RangersTV to look ahead to the final match of their three-game week as they head to Montrose this Sunday, the defender has highlighted the additions in the backline to further strengthen the side as they look to keep up their record moving forward.
She said: “Even the games where there is a high scoreline it is really disappointing when you concede goals in games like that.
“We are working hard at the back, if people watch us in the game we are not really focusing on what's going on in front of us, most of the time we are trying to sort out what is going on at the back.
“It is something that we pride ourselves on and the backline is constantly in communication.
“Trying to make sure that anything that does come out that we are first to it and it just kind of allows us to keep attacking and get more chances.
“What have Rafferty and Eddie added to the team? They have brought quality; you can see that.
“They are both really quality players, technically and good in the air.
“I think them coming in also raises the game of the other defenders because there is more competition so it is positive to have them come in and we are playing together it is nice to play alongside them and they are both really good players and good additions.”
The defender spoke of their weekend’s opponents as they look to maintain their positive run of form, saying the side must be prepared for a quick turnaround.
She continued: “It is going to be another tough game. Any game that has kind of got a long bus journey can be hard so it is important that after midweek we are recovering well.
“Montrose will give us a good game; I think every game up there last year was a tough one.
“We will definitely be going into it well prepared and we need to make sure we recover well because it will be a tough game.”
The 30-year-old got off the mark for the season in the 9-0 win over Queen’s Park on Wednesday evening and she said it is promising to see the goals so well spread around the side with seven different Gers finding the back of the net on the night.
She added: “It came from a set piece; we have been working quite a bit on set pieces.
“I think that is an area that we can still improve on going into this season.
“It is nice when they come off and to be fair it doesn't really matter who scores them.
“When you have worked on one in training it is just good that they go in.
“I think it is just because more people are getting in the box, more people are making better forward runs.
“It is just all the things that we are working on in training. We had a good pre-season and it is nice to see some of those things coming into the games now.”
