Hill proved the match winner for Jo Potter’s side as they turned the contest on its head in a three-minute spell following Rio Hardy’s well-taken equaliser to deliver a 2-1 victory.
Speaking to RangersTV after the triumph, she commented: “It was a big victory. At this stage of the season, and as cliched as it sounds, you need to get three points in every game.
“We’re delighted at how we turned the game around. Going in at half-time, we were disappointed to be 1-0 down because I don’t think we were playing that badly; they just took their chance.
“We need to just believe in ourselves within the dressing room.
“Jo said exactly that in the dressing room, that she wasn’t worried and she knew we could turn it around. It’s important that the players believe it.
“Even towards the end there, we weren’t panicking, and it was important that once we got infront that we saw out the game.
“Out of all the players on the pitch, I’m probably the last person that they would’ve wanted there!
“I said to Jo that if I was further out then I would have put it over the crossbar!
“I’m glad it hit the net and there was a bit of relief. I want to contribute as much as I can up the other end of the pitch.
“I’m just delighted for the girls that we got the win.”
Both goals for the Light Blues were brought about by quick thinking as Potter’s side exploited Hibs from dead ball situations.
Hill insists it’s an area of the game that Rangers are invariably keen to maximise, while she also reserved special praise for the impact of the second half substitutes.
Rangers will now return to SWPL action in a fortnight’s time as they welcome Glasgow City to Broadwood Stadium following the international hiatus.
Hill added: “It [quick set-pieces] is something that we try to do every game, not just today.
“It’s important that we keep the tempo up; it’s how we like to play. A lot of teams want to slow the game down against us, but it’s important that we maintain that tempo as much as we can.
“The girls that came on: Jodi was brilliant, Lizzie, Liv, I don’t want to single anyone out as I thought everyone was very good when they came on.
“It just helped us get that momentum and it made sure we got the win in the end.
“We obviously still have a few injuries at the moment, so hopefully we can get a couple back.
“We have a strong bench and everyone needs to contribute; that’s the main thing.
“It’s important that the girls who do come on take their chance, and if we do that we’re in a good position.
“It’s now about the girls who go away [on international duty] hopefully doing well for their countries but come back fit and raring to go for the last part of the season.
“For those who aren’t away, we’ll work hard this week, and we get a couple of days to rest which is nice.”
