It was the first time the group had been together since the suspension of the SWPL in January.
With games set to kick-off on Sunday April 4, Murphy says sessions will be built up as they settle into full-time training again.
Speaking to RangersTV he said: “It has been great, it has been a long time coming and the players and staff have been itching to get back for so long.
“It has been great to get everyone back together and you can see the excitement and the intensity of the sessions.
“The club have been absolutely fantastic and everyone behind the scenes to make sure that it is Covid safe and all the protocols are being followed.
“It has been a real team effort from the doctor to operations, everyone has pulled together to make sure that we can get the girls back safely and we have enjoyed the time that we have spent together.
“The first week it is just to get them back into it, a lot of them haven't done a lot of work with the ball so there will be a lot of different movements.
“You can only do so much training on your own so we have got to make sure that the training is catered and that we don't push them too soon.
“Some of the players were wanting to do extra and we have got to hold them back a little bit and be patient.
“It is really just to get them back on the ball, get them around each other and start to drip feed things from the game model that we want to try and implement coming back into the games.
“We are fortunate that we have got a big squad just now and we want to keep it that way.
“The work with the coaches and the backroom staff is going to be really important to make sure we get that just right for them so that we can go into these games with a full squad to choose from.”
Jamaica international Chantelle Swaby joined up with the squad for the first time after joining the club just before the league was suspended.
Murphy continued: “It is the first time I have seen her in person and she has been here for so long. Unfortunately, when she came we then shut down so it was really good to see her and get her amongst her teammates.
“She did really well so hopefully she can settle in with the girls and kick-off just like the rest of them when we start back.
“The players finished the season very well before Christmas and we got a bit of momentum.
“We wanted to take that into January and obviously the shutdown came so it is just about picking them back up. We know we have got a fantastic squad so it is about making sure they gel again and we get back to the heights that we got to before Christmas.”
