KEVIN MURPHY praised a ‘ruthless and relentless’ Rangers performance as they defeated Forfar Farmington 11-0 this afternoon.
The Gers assistant boss was delighted with the squad effort as they picked up three points in the Scottish Women’s Premier League.
Speaking to RangersTV at full-time he said: “It was a brilliant performance, I thought the players from the first whistle to the last were relentless and ruthless in everything that they tried to do today.
“I have got to say the pitch today was in fantastic condition as well so it makes it so much easier for us to go and play that brand of football that we speak about.
“It was really important for us to start the game well and hopefully get a couple of goals and we did that and I think that settles the players down a bit and we could play with a bit more freedom.
“The goals were shared as well which was great given the injury and the setback that Kirsty [Howat] got it is important that every player takes responsibility and it just doesn't fall on one person's shoulders so that was really pleasing.”
With a dominant attack performance from Rangers, Murphy was equally as delighted to keep a clean sheet.
He added: “That is really important for us, clean sheets is something we really take pride in and our defensive unit as a team has been fantastic.
“It is something we spoke about at half time that we would obviously like to get more goals because our play merits that but we have got to make sure we are nice and compact in defence and I thought they showed in the main really really good discipline.
“We made five changes and it can change half your team so to have such a competitive squad and players that are ready to go on and make a difference helps us massively.
“With injuries we know we are going to rely on every single person whether that be for a full game or five minutes they have to be ready.
“I thought you saw that today with the players coming on, they didn't weaken the team one little bit and if anything they add a fresh impetus and energy to the game.”
