RANGERS have a number of players from both the first-team and the Academy out on loan at present. Here’s our review of how those who featured got on over the last week.

Nikola Katic - Hajduk Split

Niko played 90 minutes and helped Hajduk Split keep a clean sheet in an important 2-0 victory away to Dinamo Zagreb.

The win saw them move into third in the league as they picked up their fifth win in a row in all competitions.

They face another away match this weekend with a trip to face NK Lokomotiva.

Lewis Mayo - Partick Thistle

Lewis was once again involved for Ian McCall’s side as he played 90 minutes at centre-back in a 0-0 draw away to Queen of the South on Saturday.

Neither side could find the breakthrough as two strong defensive performances saw the match finish goalless in Dumfries.

Next up for Partick Thistle is a home match against Arbroath in the Scottish Championship on Saturday.

James Maxwell - Ayr United

James was involved for Ayr United in the Scottish Championship at the weekend as they drew 2-2 away to Greenock Morton.

The Rangers loanee played 90 minutes as Ayr United came from behind to take a point to Cappielow.

Ayr host Hamilton on Friday evening in an important match as they look to move up the table.

Jack Thomson - Queen’s Park

Jack played the full 90 minutes in midfield for Queen’s Park as they beat Falkirk 6-0 away from home.

It was an impressive performance from Queen’s Park as they moved into second place in League One with their first win since mid-October.

They will be looking to build on that this weekend as they travel to third place Airdrionians.

Kai Kennedy - Dunfermline Athletic

Kai came back into Dunfermline’s starting XI at the weekend as they suffered a 1-0 home defeat to Hamilton.

Dunfermline captain Graham Dorrans was sent-off in the second-half as David Moyo secured all three points from the penalty spot.

Kai played 69 minutes of the match before being replaced by striker Kevin O’Hara as Dunfermline searched for an equaliser.

Queen of the South are the visitors to East End Park this weekend in a hugely important match at the bottom of the Championship.
