RANGERS have a number of players out on loan at present and here’s our review of how those who featured got on over the last week.

Lewis Mayo – Kilmarnock

Lewis played the full 90 minutes for Kilmarnock in their Scottish Premiership defeat at Parkhead on Saturday afternoon.

It marked a seventh successive start for the 22-year-old under Derek McInnes, with the Ayrshire side looking to consolidate their position in the top-flight after promotion last season.

The defender will hope to be involved this weekend as Kilmarnock face Celtic in the Viaplay Cup semi-finals at Hampden Park on Saturday evening.

Josh McPake – Queen’s Park

Josh started and played 78 minutes as Queen’s Park ran out 6-0 winners away from home against Cove Rangers on Saturday afternoon.

The victory opened up a four-point gap for the Spiders at the top of the Scottish Championship, with Josh having played a starring role in their ascent to the top of the table.

The Glasgow side host Raith Rovers in the SPFL Trust Trophy this midweek, with a return to league action on Saturday afternoon against Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Kai Kennedy – Falkirk

Kai earned another start for the Bairns on Saturday afternoon as they prevailed over Montrose in League One in a 2-1 victory.

The 20-year-old’s impressive performances have made him a regular under John McGlynn, with Falkirk set to host Clyde this weekend as they continue their bid for automatic promotion to the Scottish Championship.

Jay Hogarth – Alloa Athletic

Jay made his fourth successive league start for the Wasps in their 2-1 victory over Queen of the South in League One on Saturday afternoon.

Brian Rice’s side currently sit on the cusp of the play-off positions, with the 19-year-old goalkeeper having played a prominent role in the Wasps’ campaign so far.

Harley Ewen – Cumbernauld Colts

Harley started and played the full 90 minutes as Cumbernauld Colts were condemned to a narrow 2-1 defeat to Hearts B in the Lowland League on Saturday afternoon.

The 18-year-old’s loan has been extended until the end of the season, with Harley gaining valuable experience having featured 12 times already this term.

Harley and Cumbernauld Colts host Bo’ness United in league action this weekend as they look to continue their climb up the Lowland League table.
