RANGERS have players from both our first team and the Academy out on loan at present. Here’s our review of how those who featured this weekend got on.

Cedric Itten – Greuther Furth

Cedric featured in the starting XI for Greuther Furth on Friday in the Bundesliga against Hertha BSC. Despite the result ending in defeat for Stefan Leitl’s men, Cedric completed 64 minutes of the game.

The squad are now looking ahead to Friday night as they prepare to face league leaders, Bayern Munich in their next Bundesliga fixture.

Glenn Middleton – St Johnstone

Glenn was named in Callum Davidson’s starting line-up on Saturday as the Perthshire side travelled to Pittodrie to face Aberdeen in the Premiership.

The Saints collected three points against Stephen Glass’ side with Middleton creating a number of goal scoring chances, including a goal ruled offside.

St Johnstone now look to Wednesday night as they prepare to face Dundee at Dens Park in the quarter final of the Scottish League Cup.

Lewis Mayo – Partick Thistle

Lewis featured in Ian McCall’s starting XI on Saturday against Kilmarnock. Despite a 2-0 defeat for the Jags, Mayo played the full 90 minutes and the Thistle now look ahead to their next Championship fixture against Raith Rovers at Stark’s Park on Sunday.

Kai Kennedy – Dunfermline Athletic

Kai was named in Peter Grant’s starting line-up on Saturday as they faced Championship league leaders, Inverness Caledonian Thistle. The Pars collected a much-needed point after a hard fought 0-0 draw at East End Park.

Dunfermline now look ahead to Saturday as they welcome Hamilton Academical for their next league fixture in the Championship.

Josh McPake – Morecambe

Josh came on as a 78th minute substitute for the Shrimps during their 1-0 defeat against Doncaster in the English League One.

Despite the defeat, Stephen Robinson’s side now look to Tuesday night as they travel to face Crewe Alexandra in their next league fixture.

Jack Thomson – Queen’s Park

Jack was in the starting line-up for Queen’s Park on Saturday as they played Clyde in the League One match at Broadwood Stadium. Although the score line ended in a 2-2 draw for the Spiders, Thomson played the full 90 minutes in another hard-fought match.

Laurie Ellis’ side will welcome Peterhead for their next league fixture in League One.

Ben Williamson – Livingston

Ben was in David Martindale’s starting XI on Sunday as they faced Celtic in the Premiership. Williamson played 60 minutes for the Lions as they collected three points against Ange Postecoglou’s side, after beating them 1-0 at the Almondvale Stadium.

Livingston travel to Ibrox on Wednesday evening as they prepare to face Rangers in the quarter final on the Scottish League Cup, albeit Ben will not be involved.
