Latest Rangers Loan Review

RANGERS have a number of players out on loan at present and here’s our review of how each of those fared over the last week.

Ianis Hagi – Alaves

Ianis made his La Liga bow in Alaves colours on Saturday as his side recorded an impressive 1-0 victory over Valencia.

The 24-year-old was a second half substitute as the Basque Country club made it successive home victories to open their league campaign.

The midfielder will be keen to establish himself in the starting lineup following the forthcoming international break as his side make the trip to the Spanish capital to face Rayo Vallecano.

Alex started the match as Hearts fell to a 1-0 home defeat to Motherwell in Scottish Premiership action yesterday.

The outing followed the midfielder’s appearance in his side’s UEFA Europa Conference League defeat away to PAOK in midweek, with the 20-year-old continuing to gain crucial minutes in a demanding first-team environment.

Alex will now join up with Scotland Under-21s on international duty before Hearts resume league action with a visit from Aberdeen to Tynecastle.

The young attacker will now enjoy his first home outing in Annan colours as the Galabank side host Peterhead on Saturday afternoon.
