RANGERS have a number of players out on loan across the Men's, Women’s and Academy sides at present and here’s our review of how each of those in action fared over the weekend.

Lyall Cameron – Midfielder – Aberdeen

Lyall made his Scottish Premiership debut for Aberdeen in their emphatic 6-2 victory over Livingston on Saturday afternoon.

The midfielder’s set-piece prowess was evident as he delivered the initial corner for Kenan Bilalovic to equalise in the triumph.

Ross McCausland – Winger – Aris Limassol

Ross was on the scoresheet for Aris Limassol in their 5-3 defeat to Omonia Nicosia.

The Northern Irishman netted in the first half for his side alongside former Gers defender Leon Balogun.

Oscar Cortes – Winger – CA Huracan

Oscar made his debut for CA Huracan as they played out a 1-1 draw with Banfield.

The Colombian lined up on the left-hand side of the midfield and played 71 minutes in his first outing for the club.

Ben Davies – Defender – Oxford United

Ben returned to the Oxford side as they produced an impressive 2-1 victory over Leicester City in league action.

The defender had been absent since December but immediately showed his qualities in the win after playing the entirety of the contest.

Leon King – Defender – Ayr United

Leon started for Ayr as they fell to a narrow defeat at the hands of Partick Thistle at Firhill on Saturday afternoon.

It was a first defeat since mid-December for the Honest Men who sit outside of the play-off spots on goal difference after Dunfermline’s win at the weekend.

Paul Nsio – Midfielder – Raith Rovers

Paul was a second-half substitute for Raith in their impressive 4-1 win over Queen’s Park at home.

The midfielder played the final 14 minutes for the Stark’s Park outfit who were buoyed by a hat-trick from Jack Hamilton.

Jack Wyllie – Defender – Kelty Hearts

Jack was back involved for Kelty as they fell to a 2-0 defeat to Stenhousemuir on Saturday afternoon.

The defender also featured last week in Glasgow Cup action for the Gers Under-19s as he continues his first campaign in senior football.

Callum Burnside – Winger – Alloa Athletic

Callum was a second-half substitute for Alloa as they tasted a 3-1 defeat away to Inverness on Saturday afternoon.

The Wasps took the lead through Lewis Stewart but allowed their lead to slip in an eventual defeat.

Josh Gentles – Forward – Alloa Athletic

Josh made a second successive start for the League One side in their clash against Inverness.

The young forward opened his account in his second loan spell at the club in their midweek victory over Montrose and was rewarded with another start over the weekend.

Calum also started for Alloa in midfield in the defeat up north.

Alongside Gentles and Stewart, the midfielder was also on the substitutes bench for Rangers in their UEFA Europa League victory over Ludogorets last midweek.

Lewis notched his third goal in Alloa colours in the defeat in the Highlands.

The winger latched onto a smart through pass before slotting a delightful finish under the Inverness goalkeeper to break the deadlock in the contest.

Zander Hutton – Defender – Hamilton Academical

Zander started and played the full 90 minutes for Hamilton once again in a 2-0 win over Peterhead in Cumbernauld.

Arran Kerr – Defender – Stirling Albion

Arran started and played the full 90 minutes for Stirling Albion in their 1-0 win over Forfar at the weekend.

The full-back has been a mainstay in the Binos squad in recent weeks and played his part in another victory.

Connor also started for Stirling Albion in the triumph.

The defender has been deployed in an advanced midfield position in recent weeks and has impressed with his performances.

The full-back was involved for Rangers Under-19s last midweek in their 5-0 win over Partick Thistle.

Alfie started between the posts for Albion Rovers as they tasted defeat to Gala Fairydean Rovers.

Blaine started for Nottingham Forest as their unbeaten run came to an end with a 1-0 defeat to Reading Under-21s.

Sophie Townsley – Striker – Motherwell

Having appeared off the bench for her Motherwell debut last weekend, Sophie was handed her first start in Sunday’s SPWPL away match against Aberdeen.

Unfortunately, her side fell to a 2-1 defeat at Balmoral Stadium, as Iain Robinson’s side look to respond on their return to league action on 8 February.

Mia made the loan switch to Motherwell on Saturday morning as she will get the opportunity to gain top-flight experience for the first time in her career during the second half of the season.

The midfielder made her debut off the bench in the defeat to Aberdeen, as she prepares to spend the remainder of the campaign with the SPWPL club after a successful spell with Gartcairn.

Lucy Livie – Winger- Boroughmuir Thistle

It was a productive league outing for Lucy and Boroughmuir Thistle as they claimed a comfortable 4-0 win over Stirling Uni on Sunday afternoon.

The youngster was on hand to find the back of the net and provide two assists for her teammates, as she helped propel her side to second in the SPWPL 2 table.

Natalie Bandura – Striker – Spartans

Natalie was a second-half substitute as Spartans fell to a 1-0 defeat at Rugby Park in second-tier action.

The forward has had a productive time with the Edinburgh club so far, including winning the league’s player of the month earlier in the season, as she looks to continue that in the second half of the campaign.

CaCee likewise, also appeared off the bench in the defeat in Ayrshire as the hosts claimed a 1-0 victory.

Sophie Rutherford – Winger- Queen’s Park

Sophie was also on the scoresheet for her respective club as the Spiders claimed a 2-1 league success over Dundee United on Sunday afternoon.

Rebecca Simpson – Defender – Gartcairn

Rebecca was on target for the first time in Gartcairn colours in their convincing 4-1 success over St Johnstone.
