Latest Rangers Loan Review

RANGERS have players from both our first team and the Academy out on loan at present. Here’s our review of how those who featured over the last week.

Cedric Itten – Greuther Furth

Cedric was a 70th minute substitute for Stefan Leitl’s side on Saturday as they welcomed Hoffenheim to the Trolli-Arena in the Bundesliga.

Despite a hard-fought match, the score ended 6-3 to Sebastian Hoeneß’s side. The squad now turn their attention to their next league match on Saturday as they travel to the BayArena to face Bayer Leverkusen.

James Maxwell – Ayr United

James played 77 minutes for the Honest Men as they welcomed Albion Rovers to Somerset Park on Saturday for their Scottish Cup match.

Maxwell netted the equalising goal for Jim Duffy’s side to keep the squad in the game, before Michael Moffat scored the second and winning goal for the team to progress through to the next round of the tournament.

The ‘Honest Men’ now look to their next league match in the Championship on Saturday as they travel to face Greenock Morton.
