Going through a tough process to overcome a serious groin injury, the defender made her return to the squad on Sunday for the first time since the final day of last season.
Speaking to RangersTV upon making her comeback, she said: “It was amazing to be back with the girls and with the staff.
“Since I have been out injured, there has been a massive change within the group and things.
“I have kind of probably been outside of that a little bit, but I was just happy to be back amongst everyone, and I got that feeling of the gameday at the end of the week in a sense.
“I enjoyed it, it was obviously a tough take with the game, but football moves very fast, and I have to kick on and be relentless with that.
“Contributing moving forward? Absolutely, me as a character, I want to be part of the group, hence why I play football, I love being in a team, and I love being in this team.
I love the challenges, so that has been quite hard in terms of the rehab of having a different type of challenge - one that I am not used to, as such.
“Probably one that wasn't always going to look like a step in the right direction.
“For me, it was very much take things day by day and not get too far ahead of myself.
“Which can be tough because you could have a really good day and then the next day you could be five steps backwards.
“That was quite tough to take because that progression looked very up and down. Saying that it is just nice to be back and have that challenge.
“We have got Sunday to look forward to, for me, that is all I have wanted, and it makes everything worth it, something to crack on now with, and I am looking forward to it.”
Tomorrow will see the Gers face off against Partick Thistle for a place in the last four of the Sky Sports Cup. A competition the Light Blues have won three times in a row and one that holds particular significance to the Northern Ireland international, with it being her first piece of silverware since making the switch to Glasgow in the summer of 2024.
She continued: “It was a fantastic occasion, 5-0 against Hibs was a fantastic game and one that will all stick in our mind massively.
“When something is yours as well, it has got your name on it, you take that a bit more personally in keeping that.
“Obviously, we are looking forward to it; it is the earlier stages of it, but it is something that we all want to retain, because we do have our name on it can sometimes be a little bit harder in terms of people wanting to take that off you.
“We have got our standards; we are good at dealing with the pressure in that sense.
“It will be a tough game, but it is one that we'll embrace. Every game is a tough game because when you win, these people do want to take it off you. It will be exciting, and I can't wait to be back with the team.”
Despite not making her return to the pitch in the defeat in the capital against Hibs, the 29-year-old says it is important the team takes learnings from the day, in what is going to be a busy few weeks of important outings heading towards the second international break of the season.
She added: “I think it is important to remind ourselves, we are not under the illusion that we can just put it behind us.
“It is one of them for me. I look at it. If you get defeated, you have to learn from it. That is the thing you will only learn from it if you act on that.
“That is the reaction that we need to have going forward. It is something at this club we don't accept.
“It hurts, and I think it is ok to bottle their emotions and let them out in the right way.
We are well up for it, right now we have got Sunday, one game at a time, but in terms of fans at Ibrox, against Celtic, it is going to be massive.
"I know that our fans will be there and do us proud and be nice and loud and get behind the girls, because we will give everything for the shirt.”
