With eight victories on the bounce since the turn of the year, Philippe Clement’s side are on impressive form and the midfielder believes the bond off the pitch is helping with the results on it.
Speaking to the media ahead of Sunday’s Scottish Premiership match away to St Johnstone, Lawrence said: “The atmosphere has been really good. I'd say it is probably tighter than it has ever been since I have been here. Everyone is loving playing football at the minute and that is the way it should be, and our form speaks for itself.
“It is difficult to compare dressing rooms, all I would say is when you sign for Rangers you know the pressure that comes with it. You have to win every game, that is just the nature of it.
“It is not easy, but like I say we keep going game by game and that is all we need to do between now and the end of the season and take it as it comes.”
Playing in a slightly deeper role in midfield of late, Lawrence says he is enjoying the challenge and is continuing to learn each game.
With game time managed in recent weeks as he returns from injury, the 30-year-old says he feels good ahead of this Sunday’s match.
He continued: “I enjoy it, the manager has asked me to play there, and I enjoy doing it. It is a little bit different, but I have done it in the past as well, it has been really good. I am learning each game, but it is something I really like.
“I have always liked shooting, the manager is on me a lot. I turn down shots more than I should do but it is something I want to do, I want to be scoring goals and assisting.
“Personally, I have my own individual programme and there have been tweaks here and there that have helped me out.
“I'd like to be playing every game, but we have got a great squad in there - everybody comes in and does their job for the team and that's the way it should be.”
