The Light Blues were beaten 6-0 at Meadow Park last night against the English side as they now will gear up to take on Atletico Madrid in the third-place play-off this Saturday at lunchtime.
Speaking to RangersTV after the game at the home of Boreham Wood, the 23-year-old wants the team to respond and take the positives of the first-half display into their next outing.
She commented: “It is obviously really disappointing; we have put a lot of work in preparation coming here and we knew it was going to be a tough night and a tough opposition to play but we have got a lot of positives we can take into Saturday and we can just build on it.
“We will learn a lot from playing a top side like Arsenal and it is games that we want to play in so we are gutted with the result but we are looking to bounce back on Saturday and take the positives from the game.”
“The first half showing? We limited Arsenal to chances on goal and they have got one kind of early on that is hard to deal with from there but they never cut us open.
“We just need to deal with some things a little bit better and we could have kept the scoreline down but we will just work on that for Saturday and hopefully we can limit the chances that Atletico Madrid have.”
The former Hibs player spoke of her first experience of Champions League football as a player, as she reflected on featuring in a different role for Jo Potter’s side on the night.
She continued: “It was obviously tough, but these are the games that I want to play in, especially for Rangers.
“It is an experience that I have never had before and hopefully there is many more to come.
“Playing in midfield? I really enjoyed it, I spoke to Jo, Jay, and Hagi before it and listened to what they wanted me to bring to the game and having Liv [McLoughlin] in there and Kirsty [Howat] and Camille [Lafaix] to help me through it really helped.
“I think there are some things that I can learn again and some positives that I can take from that performance.”
The Gers will now ready themselves for another quick turnaround as they take on the Spanish side to round off their three-game week, and the Scotland international says the team will prepare the best they can for the test.
She added: “We just need to recover as well as we can. Coming away and playing on a grass pitch and an opposition like we have.
“We need to make sure first of all that we recover and then look at preparing for Atletico Madrid and seeing how we can exploit them.”
