LEANNE CRICHTON says Rangers have to use Ibrox to their advantage starting against Hearts on Sunday.
The new Head Coach will lead her side out at home for the first time in a competitive fixture when the Jambos travel along the M8.
Crichton is looking to build on last weekend’s opening day 6-1 win over Montrose, now she has called on the supporters to pack the stadium and help make Ibrox a ‘fortress’.
Speaking to the media, she said: “The arena is an advantage and we need to see it as that. The platform of playing there should inspire the team, and it should be something they should be buzzing about.
“We need to make it a fortress and teams coming to Ibrox should never think they can leave with points.
“This Rangers team has won four trophies out of a possible six. The one everyone wants is the title and that’s the ambition and we want to look to achieve that.

“We have started the season well with a 6-1 win, but as a Head Coach, nothing would inspire my players more than having a fanbase that supported them.
“Give us that pressure, the pressure to play here is a privilege with the fanbase we have.
“I am excited to see how many fans come to Ibrox on Sunday and I think it is a real opportunity to get behind the team, the more that happens the more the players will embrace it.
“We need to be ready to compete, but the reality is there will be mistakes, but we are Rangers and we have to find a way to win. The players know that and they are ready for that.”
Crichton has only been in charge for two weeks after replacing Jo Potter in the dugout.
She is already loving life at the Light Blues and is determined to put on a show for the Gers faithful.
She added: “It feels a lot longer than two weeks, every minute and hour that goes by you are trying to fill it with information and assess everything and what the club needs.
“It’s been good and the response from the players has been excellent. We need to win games and be ready to compete and I think that’s where we are.

“Travelling to Montrose you know it could be sticky, but you have to find solutions to the problems and we did that.
“Hearts are a good side who have recruited well. They will be up there challenging and we won’t underestimate them, but it is a challenge we will embrace.
“Hearts have a clear identity. They lost some key players, but they are a strong side who I expect to compete.
“I want my team to be possession-based, but with a purpose. The character I am, I love us having the ball, but we want bums on seats and then we want to get them off them with exciting football.
“It doesn’t matter who or where we play, we can dominate the ball and create. That’s the way it will continue to look and the early signs are positive.”
