Born in the German capital, Balogun will have friends and family in the stands for the fixture, but says his full focus is on the game with just over a week to go until the opening Scottish Premiership match against Hearts.
Speaking to RangersTV, he said: “I think the atmosphere will be great, I think our travelling support will enjoy that stadium. I have played there once in my career, but I have been there a few times.
“It is a very very special club, for me it is nice to be back home, see a few family members and a few friends I am going to meet out there but the main focus is the pre-season match.
“We need a good performance there, also for the confidence to start against Hearts the following week and show a different face over the 90 minutes.”
Balogun played a full 90 minutes in Wednesday evening’s match away to Birmingham City and says he feels good heading into the new campaign.
As a team, the defender says they have to use the final week to continue to learn and eradicate mistakes ahead of the new season.
He continued: “I feel good, physically I'm there. I don't think I was supposed to play 90 minutes actually but it felt pretty good apart from that little knock but it is nothing serious so that is fine.
“I think there is a good sense in the group overall but again like I have said and like we have seen we still have work to do.
“I am pretty sure there will be good things even though right now this is hard to imagine but obviously we are still learning. We still have a lot of young players in the team and a few new players.
“There will be mistakes made and we just need to make sure, because there are 10 days until the kick-off of the season, that we eradicate them. Throughout the season there will be mistakes but we have to minimise them and make sure we don't make the type of mistakes we did in the Birmingham game.”
