The Young Ger looks ahead as the youngsters prepare to face the Swedish side in their second leg in the UEFA Youth League.
King sat down exclusively with RangersTV ahead of the upcoming tie at the Tele2 Arena and expressed his excitement to be back in Youth League action again.
He said: “We’re really looking forward to it. With it being cut short last year due to Covid, this year we’ve gone into it with a fresh mindset. We did very well in the first game so it should be a very interesting tie this time around.
“Because the game ended 3-0 in our favour, the game still isn’t over yet. The first goal in Sweden is a big one, we just need to go in and concentrate as though it is 0-0 again.”
The youngster underlined their preparations in training and important messages heading into the second fixture on Wednesday.
He added: “Confidence and composure are the key messages for us heading into this game. We don’t want to be scared to express ourselves in certain areas, we just want to play the way we know we can and I’m sure we can get the result in this tie.
“In training, we’ve been looking at ways in which we can hurt them. We’ve watched the game back numerous times and found ways that we can exploit them even more than we did in the first tie. I think. It’s just about building momentum going into this game as well.
The Light Blue continued by outlining the benefit the competition provides younger footballers.
He continued: “This tournament gives you experience against European sides at such a young age in the format that first teams play.
“It’s a difficult schedule but it’s what we need at a young age as it will put you in good stead for going into first-team football.”
