Following an impressive 2-1 victory over Sparta Prague on matchday four of the UEFA Europa League, the manager has named Leon Balogun, Tom Lawrence, 20-year-old Ross McCausland – making his first start for the Light Blues – and Cyriel Dessers in his team to face David Martindale’s men in the midday clash at the Tony Macaroni Arena.
They replace Ben Davies, Sam Lammers, Todd Cantwell and Danilo who all started against the Czech First League leaders on Thursday night.
Having beaten Livingston 4-0 in both the league and League Cup already this season at Ibrox, Clement will be hoping for more of the same from the club’s first trip to West Lothian in 2023/24.
Jack Butland will make his 23rd appearance of the campaign between the posts and in front of the Gers number one will be a back four featuring captain James Tavernier, Connor Goldson, Balogun and Borna Barisic.
The visitors’ midfield consists of Ryan Jack, John Lundstram and Lawrence with McCausland and Abdallah Sima expected to provide width and support to main striker Dessers.
Joining goalkeeper Robby McCrorie and Cantwell, Lammers, Davies and Danilo on the Rangers bench today are Ridvan Yilmaz, Jose Cifuentes, Dujon Sterling and Kemar Roofe.
