After an intense week in Italy featuring fixtures against both Milan clubs, the Light Blues were back at Broadwood in their final outing before their SWPL opener next Sunday as they fell to defeat to Sunderland.
Speaking to RangersTV to look back on the match she started as captain for the first time in her Rangers career, she said: “It was a difficult test, obviously you never want to concede four goals in a game.
“The second half was better, the fact that we didn't concede any more, but I think as a group we know we want to create more and score more goals going forward.
“We need to be challenged in pre-season, and when changes are being made all the time, that affects the game. It is just about getting minutes as well and getting our match fitness up.
“There was some youth on the pitch, but it is good that they get experience. I just had to try and use my experience to help them where I could.”
The winger has spoken of the first few days under new Head Coach Leanne Crichton, stating she is looking forward to what’s ahead as the team now prepares for the return of competitive action when they head to Links Park on August 17.
She added: “Her first day was just yesterday; it was a quick turnaround for her, but it is looking positive. We know what experience she can bring to the group to help us, and it will be good moving forward.
“I think as a group with Leanne coming in, she will want to implement how we want to play, and we can use this week wisely with that. We have got enough time to do so and look forward to that game.”
