The young Ger netted the match-winning goal tonight to help take his side into the next stage of the competition where they will face Dumbarton.
Speaking exclusively to RangersTV following their positive result, he said: “I thought we controlled large spells of the game, there were times where we maybe forced it a bit too much, but we kept going right to the end.
“We should’ve been a bit more clinical in the first half with the chances we had, it’s a good win and we’re through to the next round.”
Lowry emphasised the importance of carrying momentum until the referee’s final whistle after the youngster netted the only goal of the game in the latter stages of the match.
He added: “You need to go for the game as much as you can, in my opinion we should’ve been one or two goals up in the first half. Credit to the boys as we kept going until we got the goal - It’s always good when it goes into the back of the net.
“We kept going to the end, when we got the goal, we controlled the game a bit more. I thought we were really good.”
Rangers B team will face Dumbarton at the end of the month in the next round of the tournament and the Light Blue highlighted that the squad are looking forward to facing another level of opposition.
“We’re looking forward to it, we played them last year and we came out winners in that – hopefully we can go and do that again.”
