The 16-year-old netted a first half penalty before a well-worked goal in the second half.
Lowry said: “It was a brilliant performance from the boys.
“It was more of a physical challenge because we feel that we can play any team off the pitch so they didn’t really test us as much as we would’ve liked but we tested ourselves by playing some good one-two touch football.”
After scoring an early penalty to open the scoring, Nathan Young-Coombes passed the honours for the second spot-kick to Lowry.
He added:
“For my second goal it went into Matty Yates and it was a good combination and I played a flick through to Kane (Ritchie-Hosler) and he played me back in and I just passed it into the corner.”
The midfielder is looking forward to the season ahead and hopes the hard work in pre-season will pay off.
He added: “It has been hard so far but it will benefit us in the future with the amount of running we have done but as the season goes on we will need that in our legs.”
