The midfielder opened the scoring after only three minutes as the Light Blue’s progressed to the quarter-finals of the Premier Sports Cup with a 5-0 win.
Speaking to RangersTV, Lundstram said: “It was really good, we needed to bounce back after the week we have had so obviously the win is important but to get a good performance and go out on the front foot was pleasing.
“It was really good to score in front of all the fans as well. It was a special one for me, hopefully I can kick on now and get many more.
“The gaffer said we needed to start quick and thankfully we did that and it was me at the end of the first one but it didn't matter who it was, it was just important for us to get off and a good start early on.”
Lundstram was one of eight changes and feels the display shows the strength and depth in the squad as they prepare for another busy period of fixtures.
He added: “It shows the strength in the squad we have got, obviously we have had a difficult week but for the lads to come into the team and do well was pleasing for everyone.
“We didn't slack off at all, that was what the gaffer said at half-time, don't come off the gas and that’s what we have to do, we have to be relentless.”
