The Young Ger reflected on today’s win against Dorian Ogunro’s side and said it was positive for the team to score a variety of goals.
Speaking exclusively to RangersTV after the squad’s positive win in the league, he said “We started off very well.
"The coaches spoke to us at half time, so even when we did concede the goals, we knew we just had to keep doing what we were doing, we were moving the ball nicely to keep scoring goals.
"We went back out and started the second half again to get the three points. “It’s good to see the variation of goals, Charlie [McCann] is a midfielder and it’s nice to see him get amongst the goals and Tony [Weston] is always amongst them anyway. It’s good to see the goals from everywhere on the pitch, we were obviously disappointed to concede the two, but I thought we played excellently front to back.”
Despite the positive result, the youngster insists that there is a learning moment to take from each game.
He added: “We’re good players on the ball but if you switch off the ball, all it takes is one pass in behind you that can lead to a goal. I felt sometimes we did switch off today and Edinburgh Uni did score two goals from it, so we just need to keep learning from that.”
The Light Blues have had a busy fixture list this month with a variety of matches and have two remaining fixtures before the end of the year. Lyall outlined how the squad will be preparing for those upcoming games.
He continued: “Preparations are going to look like what they always do; everyone is lively just now, and spirits are high. Everyone is sharp in training so we’re looking forward to those big games.”
