The Light Blues will get the opportunity to run out in front of the home faithful as David McCallum’s side head into their final stretch of league fixtures and make their return to competitive action.
Having spent four years at the club so far, the boyhood Gers fan is relishing the opportunity to play in front of the supporters at Ibrox for the first time this weekend.
He said: “I can't wait, I have been unfortunate to not of had the chance to through injury and different things, I have been here four years and this my first opportunity to get on Ibrox and I honestly can't for it.
The defender hopes the fans will turn out in their numbers once again with almost 10,000 supporters attending the fixture between the sides at Ibrox last season, believing the players will only reap the rewards playing in front of a large crowd for moving forward.
He continued: “They have come in their numbers this season and it would be great if they came to the game on Sunday as well for a big one, it will be amazing if they did come down, they have come in their numbers at Dumbarton when it hasn't been the best of weather to say the least, to play at Ibrox in front of the fans we do encourage it and it will be brilliant.
“It is only going to benefit you, playing in front of fans is what you want to be doing as at first-team level, you are going to come across that and it is something that you look forward to, you just want to show what you can do.”
The centre-back highlighted what qualities his side need to show in order to come out on top in the Old Firm clash as they look for a strong end to their Lowland League campaign.
He added: “You certainly don't need much motivation, you know the size of the game and the expectation that comes with the game, we are just looking forward to it and can't wait for it.
“The fact that we are able to play at Ibrox on Sunday when the first team are on Saturday then it works out for the fans as well, to come down and watch it, it is certainly something that we are looking forward to.”
