KIRSTY Maclean hopes Rangers can build on their UEFA Women’s Champions League performances as they prepare to face Benfica in Round 2 on Tuesday evening.
The Light Blues progressed to this stage of the competition with two strong victories over Ferencvaros and PAOK last month, with Maclean making her Champions League debut at just 17-years-old.
With a first-leg tie to look forward to at Ibrox on Tuesday, the youngster is expecting a difficult match against the Portuguese champions.

Speaking exclusively to RangersTV ahead of the game, she said: "We are all really excited and in training you can see that as well. It means the world to everyone. It is an amazing experience and a dream come true for a lot of us to get to play at Ibrox.
"I am really looking forward to it and to have my family come and watch as well - it will be really good. We played there once last season and it was one to remember, it was definitely one of the highlights of last season and hopefully we can do the same again.
"Tuesday will prove a real challenge, they are a really good side so we just need to learn, do our analysis and hopefully do the best we can."
Looking back on her first few months as a professional having make the step up from the Girls’ Academy, Maclean feels she is already seeing the benefits of the environment.
She continued: "Signing my first professional contract has really benefited me as a player and the girls have all helped so much. You can learn from them every day and the coaches are all there to support you as well.
"It was a really proud moment to make my Champions League debut, I was really happy to contribute and I think the team did well in both games. Getting through to this just gives us more to build on and hopefully we can play even better.
"It would be brilliant, hopefully we can get as many people as possible to come along to Ibrox on Tuesday and hopefully we can inspire the younger girls as well."
