A double from Kayla McCoy and goals from Zoe Ness and Kirsty Howat saw the Light Blues pick up three points at Rangers Training Centre.
Speaking to RangersTV at full-time, he said: “I think they were definitely ready for the game, they had lots of energy tonight as well.
“It is always difficult when you are playing game after game but that's the last two against Glasgow City and Hamilton and it has set us up nicely for the cup game on Sunday. I am really pleased with the girls and the fashion that they played in tonight.
“We always said from the start of the season that once we got a fully fit squad together we would then utilise that squad.
“There's a lot of give and take. They really have bonded and came together, they are in an environment where it is not easy and they are all competing to get a jersey and get a start.
“What we have witnessed is when the team is selected, the ones that are not involved really rally round each other so that can only add to the guys that are on the pitch.”
Thomson was particularly pleased for striker Kirsty Howat as she marked her return from ACL surgery with a goal.
He continued: “For Kirsty Howat to come on and score a goal is massive for her. The injury she sustained was quite a serious one but the way the medical staff planned and put that into action was great.
“It has been hard for her, she has had a lot of ups and lots of downs but she has come through it. I think the support network that has been around her has really helped her do that but also her desire and her passion to play for Rangers.”
