MALKY THOMSON was delighted with the way his squad managed this afternoon’s 1-0 victory over Hibernian.
A second-half goal from Zoe Ness was the difference at the Tony Macaroni Arena and Thomson was pleased with how his players saw out the match to secure all three points.
Speaking to RangersTV at full-time he said: “I think that is the first time we have won 1-0 and been in a game where a slight mistake could have cost us the win.
“It was pleasing that the girls all rallied round and they knew the importance of it and they understand that you are not going to win every game 4-0.
“It’s going to be games like this that we will need to take care of and the group have proved they can do that.”
Thomson felt Rangers settled into this afternoon’s game to control large spells of play.
He continued: “It was a difficult game in the sense that we didn't start particularly well but as the game went on we managed to get a foothold on it and tried to get our style of play into it.
“We started to get possession of the ball and play in the right areas and then I think we controlled the vast majority of the second-half but in the first half they gave us some problems.”
