Head coach Malky Thomson sat down exclusively with RangersTV to discuss the return to training, pre-season plans and new signing Jane Ross.
A week of thorough testing this week will provide all the data needed to move forward in the coming weeks, Thomson explained: “It is fantastic to be back and we are looking forward to the new campaign.
“First and foremost the sport science department will use the whole week for testing so the girls have been given various tests and based on those results we will then move forward with our pre-season plans.
“They came back with bags of enthusiasm so that was the first box ticked off and we are looking forward to this year.
“We have got a wealth of experience coming in which will help in terms of the league campaign but will help with the younger ones who are also coming in the squad this year.”
Scotland international Jane Ross has now joined up with the squad after signing from Manchester United, while Craig McPherson has joined Thomson and Kevin Murphy as part of the coaching staff.
Thomson continued: “I am over the moon to get a striker of her experience in the building. She will come in and she'll just add value to the whole club with her professionalism and her experience.
“Craig McPherson has come in as well and he has a wealth of experience in terms of the football side of things but also in life itself. He is just such an enthusiastic character that will gel well with the group and the current staff.”
