MALKY THOMSON shared his frustration as Rangers lost 2-0 to Glasgow City at Broadwood this afternoon.
The Gers boss was disappointed at the lack of chances created by his side as goals from Hayley Lauder and Niamh Farrelly saw the hosts take all three points.
Speaking to RangersTV, he said: “I am really disappointed, especially in our first-half performance, I don't think we really competed at all in the first-half.
“I thought second-half the girls rallied round each other and gave a better account of themselves but we never really threatened the goal.
“I think it is probably the first game where we haven't created many chances but again all credit to Glasgow City they are a good team, organised and they made it difficult for us to break them down.”
Thomson says the squad will regroup and use the experience of this season to learn heading into the 2021/22 campaign.
He added: “It has been a trying season, it has been hard with the pandemic and everything else not looking for any excuses but we have to regroup, we'll go back in pre-season and we'll go from there and we will challenge next season.
“This is our first season as professionals, there's a lot of expectation and the players have to deal with that, that's part and parcel of playing at Rangers. I'm sure they have learned from this whole season's experience and we'll utilise that going into next season.”
