The new-look Rangers side will welcome Queen’s Park Ladies to the Hummel Training Centre in the first group match of the SWPL Cup.
Speaking to RangersTV ahead of the game, Malky said he is expecting a tough test from the newly-promoted SWPL2 side.
He said: “I think it’ll be a tough game, it will be the first real game so we are really looking forward to it we have prepared really well.
“I think we have had around about a months practice as such. We have got a clean bill of health everybody seems fit and available for selection so it will be good.
“The girls have really bought into what we are about. I think becoming profession has really heightened everybody’s senses and it is just really about them gelling together now it is about them getting to understand what they are like on the pitch and how they play.
“I think that is important for any team that there is competition for places and nobody is guaranteed getting selected.”
Malky is hoping fans will get behind the side as they open their group campaign this weekend.
He continued: “It is exciting, you have got to win your games to progress through so we are really looking forward to it.
“I think it will start to grow momentum, we are certainly getting a lot of positive feedback from Rangers supporters and even other teams – there’s a lot of interest around it.
Rangers Women kick-off their SWPL Cup group stage campaign on Sunday against Queen’s Park at the Hummel Training Centre (kick-off 3pm).
Tickets can be bought on the gate and cost £5 for Adults and £3 for students/concessions and £1 for Under 16s.
