The young Gers marched into the next round of the SPFL Trust Trophy in midweek with a resounding 3-0 victory over Spartans at Ainslie Park.
The triumph marked the third game in succession where David McCallum’s side have netted three or more goals, with Robbie Fraser, Thompson Ishaka and Alex Lowry all on the scoresheet.
Before that, the Light Blues recorded impressive back-to-back victories over Everton Under-21s and Burnley Under-21s at the Rangers Training Centre.

The Citizens are coached by Brian Barry-Murphy, who joined City’s academy from Rochdale in 2021.
Saturday’s opposition lifted the Premier League 2 title for the third consecutive season last season, with their Under-19s side also enjoying a run to the last 16 in the UEFA Youth League.
Indeed, City racked up 49 points in the 14-team division last season, finishing with a goal difference of plus-32 over runners up Liverpool.
WHAT THEY’RE SAYING
B Team Head Coach, David McCallum: "The performances are important, but it’s the bit in between that, the games and the time spent on the training pitch. We need to make sure we keep pushing our levels in training, in terms of intensity and quality, because ultimately when we get to matchday that is the part which people see.
“It’s about what these guys can do beyond the B Team, and that needs to come every day that they come to work. We’ll now bounce into the busy spell of games.”
