The Light Blues were in total command from start to finish, with Malik Tillman’s double the difference between the two sides. Indeed, the ever-impressive Tillman is now sitting with six goals from his last six appearances for the Gers.
Tillman’s first came from a Todd Cantwell assist – with Cantwell’s influence on proceedings growing with each passing game.
His first goal came last time out against Motherwell at Fir Park, with his direct running and composure on the ball being a real, added feature to Gers’ matches in recent times.

McGregor is now 16th on the all-time list of appearances for the club – he sits three behind Alex MacDonald and five behind Colin Jackson, so he could move further up that list prior to the end of the season.
Peter McCloy, whom McGregor was delighted to spend time with following Saturday’s match, remains the all-time record appearance-holder for a Rangers goalkeeper. The Girvan Lighthouse has 534 matches to his name.
