Match Summary: Rangers 2-0 Hallescher FC

RANGERS rounded-off their pre-season training camp in Germany with a 2-0 win over Hallescher FC this afternoon.

With two different XI’s in the game, it provided valuable minutes on the pitch for Michael Beale’s side, including five of the seven summer signings.

One of those new additions, Abdallah Sima headed home the opening goal after getting on the end of a Borna Barisic cross with around 30 minutes played.  

Shortly after, Scott Wright burst forward on a solo run into the box before getting a shot away at goal, with the referee awarding Rangers a penalty for a handball.

James Tavernier stepped-up to the spot and converted the penalty to give Rangers the 2-0 victory in Blankenhain.

The squad will now head back to Glasgow to continue pre-season with Newcastle United visiting Ibrox on Tuesday evening for Allan McGregor’s testimonial. 

First-half XI: Butland, Tavernier, Mayo, Souttar, Barisic, Rice, Lundstram, Wright, Cantwell, Lammers, Sima. 

Second-half XI: McLaughlin, Devine, Mayo (Yfeko), Balogun, Ridvan, Dowell, Jack, Lowry, Hagi, Matondo, Fashion Jr.
