MAX Cameron says he's loving life in the Rangers Under-19s set-up after dispatching the winning penalty in last night's bonus point shootout victory over Queen's Park in the Glasgow Cup group stage.
The youngster has been a regular part of the Under-19s side this campaign despite still being eligible for feature for the Under-17s, earning recent selection for Scotland Under-17s alongside Kyle Glasgow and Chris Condy.
Speaking to RangersTV after the triumph, Cameron, who just turned 17 recently, said: "It was a big jump at the start, but I'm starting to get used to it, and I'm settling in now.
"I'm really enjoying it, and it's a good way to go forward.
"Scotland Under-17s call-up? It's a great experience to play against top players at my age all around the world.
"It was a good test, and it will help me become better as a player. I want to prove it on the pitch here."
Cameron went close for the young Gers in the first-half and was a constant thorn in the Queen's Park side down the left.
He then showed tremendous composure from 12 yards to seal the penalty shootout victory after the visitors spurned successive spot-kicks.
On the game, he added: "At the start, all the penalties were going in, and I thought it was just going to keep going, but they obviously missed, and we did too.
"All the pressure was on me, and I knew I was ready to take it.
"I thought we started the game a little bit slow, but we grew into it. At half-time we knew we could get the equaliser and start pushing for the winner.
"We got the equaliser, it went to penalties, and we won on penalties. We could have won the game [in normal time], but we won on penalties, and that's fine.
"It was a good time to get the equaliser. Ruaridh did really well to hold off his man, get around the goalkeeper, and finish.
"There weren't things we had to change [at the interval]. It was more that we grew into the game more.
"We had to press a little better and stop them playing through us, and we did that better in the second half."
