RANGERS Academy are today pleased to announce that forward Max Cameron has signed his first professional contract.
The 16-year-old impressed at the recent Alkass International Cup in Doha, Qatar, and has followed the full Academy journey at Rangers.
A graduate of the club’s schoolboy programme at Boclair Academy, the teenager will now join up with Stevie Smith’s Under-19s side ahead of the upcoming season.
Interim Head of Academy, David McCallum, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Max into our full-time programme here at the Academy.
“He is a player who hasn’t been short of interest from elsewhere in recent months, but he is convinced that Rangers is the perfect environment to aid his progression both on and off the pitch as an individual.
"He has shown great potential throughout his time in the Academy, and we’re excited to see him make the step into a professional environment."
