The Rangers assistant manager joined Emma Dodds, Neil McCann and Lorenzo Amoruso post-match on RangersTV, and began by outlining his thoughts on the game.
He explained: "We are pleased with the result. Performance-wise, after the other night, we are a wee bit disappointed.
"We were a wee bit unrecognisable I thought early in the game. I thought there was a reaction after half-time and we started the second half well, but most importantly, we got the three points.
"We have had a good tranche of results in this lead-up to this international break - that is five victories here and five clean sheets in the league.
"So we can't complain too much - sometimes, you have got to enjoy winning games but realise, the fact that we didn't play as well as we wanted to play, that is somethin we have got to take away from this game today.
"Our game is based a lot on keeping the ball - Ross County came here and were pressing and pushing, and at 1-0, they still think they have a chance, and it actually shows a degree of bravery to stick to your principles to try and get that rhythm and cause problems for their backline."
Borna Barisic had to go off injured in the second half while Connor Goldson was hurt late on – though McAllister provided positive news on their diagnosis.
He continued: "It's just a blow - it was just below his shin pad so it is nothing serious - it is just some stud marks and he is fine.
Next up for Gers is the Old Firm game at Parkhead in a fortnight, and on that, McAllister added: “We have got to go there in a confident mood. We have played well there the last couple of times we have been there.
"Today, we know we can perform better, but we got the three points - that will be tough for both teams with the game on the Saturday and so many players coming back from international duty."
