GARY McALLISTER reckons Rangers are looking at yet another big week, with St Johnstone to come for the Light Blues back-to-back.
Gers are off to McDiarmid Park tomorrow night on Scottish Premiership business, before the Perth men visit Ibrox on Sunday in the quarter-final of the Scottish Cup.
Assistant boss McAllister reckons his men are in fine fettle going into the pair of challenges, and explained: "After an Old Firm weekend and a big, positive result, we bounce into this week off the back of a great result and a good performance I felt as well.
"But again, if you look at the week, it is just another big week and it is the way we like it. I think over the two games we will probably freshen up in the league game on Wednesday, but over the two games, we will be strong as we want to continue our form in the league and we want to progress in the cup.
"So we will be strong over the two games. We know St Johnstone, they know us and we have played each other three times already, so the message from us is we will be strong and we want to continue our run.
"We are going in against a team who are highly organised and have had a wonderful season.
"They will be full of confidence, so we are expecting a real, tight game. But, we will got there and look to attack and look to win the game.
"We have got to try and keep this run going."
McAllister was also asked today about the battle for places at right back, given the form of Nathan Patterson of late, and captain James Tavernier now coming back into contention following injury.
He added: "What a wonderful position for the manager and everybody here at the club to have two outstanding players who play in the same position.
"Could that evolve and could there be a little bit of a change there? Time will tell, but the beauty is we have an outstanding youngster and we have a player whose numbers are among the best in the world from that area of the pitch.
"So as a club, we are so delighted to have two outstanding players in that area of the pitch. There are different formations, and you never know, you might be able to get the two of them on the pitch at the same time."
