It was the first competitive start since May for the goalkeeper and he says he works hard every day to ensure he is ready for these opportunities.
Speaking to exclusively to RangersTV at full-time, McCrorie said: “It feels like a long time, obviously I want to be playing a lot more than I am, but I just like the feeling of contributing, being a part of it and playing 90 minutes.
“It is something that I'll always want to do, I think everyone is the same now. All you want to do in football is play games, so I just make sure I am ready for whenever I am called upon.
“I'm not going to lie I don't enjoy not playing, I do want to be playing every week, but you can't go in the huff and you do need to be ready all the time.
“I take a lot of pride in every day, working hard and giving everything in training because I think when you do that and you come into games you are more comfortable and you are ready for it.
“In the past couple of weeks we have got a lot of training in but it was to set us up for the next few months, it will be relentless, it will be non-stop, there will be games every three days and there's a lot to look forward to.”
On the game against Dumbarton, the 25-year-old believed Rangers controlled the match as they progressed to the fifth round.
He continued: “I thought we had good control in the game, we created a lot of chances and probably could have scored more goals but given the conditions and everything else it was just important that we won the game.
“The main thing was getting the game on, I don't think we cared what it was like so we have come here and we have won and we are in the next round so we can move on.”
