COLE MCKINNON is hoping he can break into the Reserve team after featuring in tonight’s 2-1 victory against Berwick Rangers in the Tunnock’s Caramel Wafer Cup.
The 16-year-old came on near the end of the match, making is Challenge Cup debut, and is aiming for more game time in the Development side.
He said: “It was very good to come on in the game for the reserves and it lets my experience build up and hopefully get more games in this cup.
“My aim is to play more in the Reserves and hopefully push on and take one of the Reserves players jerseys.”
McKinnon was pleased with how Rangers saw out the game after Berwick got a goal back with 20 minutes to go.
He added:
“The next round will be tough especially because it is another away game as well it’ll be a long journey there but hopefully we can just go on and win the game again.”
