The Light Blues are into their final few weeks of pre-season as they approach the start of the SWPL Cup on August 8.
McLauchlan sat down exclusively with RangersTV this week as Malky Thomson’s side ramp up preparations ahead of the start of competitive fixtures.
She said: “It has been really good having the break and coming back in with the girls and getting back out on the pitch with the ball again. Everyone is back fresh and ready to go and we've got a real focus for the season now.
“We had the league last season without the cups and you do miss that excitement so it is good to get running with them again. We want to go in as fit as we can and really start on a strong note for the upcoming season.”
McLauchlan feels she is continuing to improve her game as a Rangers player and has continued to learn this pre-season.
She added: “When I first came in I felt like I was always going to improve with the facilities, the coaching staff and the players I have got around me here and I do think that is happening.
“I am going out training and I am always learning even within the last couple of weeks of pre-season. There's a lot more to my position that I can take out of it so it has been really good.
“We just need to keep building on what we are trying to focus on now as a team and when it goes into the games really use that and learn.”
