The 17-year-old was delighted to play her part in the 11-0 victory as Rangers progressed to the fifth round of the competition. Speaking to RangersTV after the match, McLeary said: “It is my first senior hat-trick so I am buzzing, but it is a team game and a team sport so it was really good from everyone today. “All of the girls have been amazing with not just me but Kirsty [Maclean] and Emma [Watson] as well so I think it is only going to benefit the three of us and I am looking forward to seeing what the rest of the season holds for us. “Football is about getting minutes and today was a good opportunity to get 90 minutes in my legs so I am looking forward to seeing how many more games I can play and how many more minutes I can get to help the squad for the rest of the season.” On this afternoon’s performance, McLeary believes Rangers showed their ‘ruthless’ side in the dominant display at Broadwood. She continued: “It was a real professional performance from us, we knew what we were going to face coming into the game and it was about how we performed and I think it was a really good team performance. “We were really ruthless today and that shows with the score as well, we always drive the standards every single day in training and in games so I think it was good to reap the benefits of that today.”
